Ref: 25509We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business operating within the specialist chemicals sector.Following significant investment and the completion of a major new production facility, our client is looking to strengthen its Controls & Instrumentation team with the appointment of an experienced Control Systems Engineer.This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that combines the stability of a long-established organisation with a forward-thinking approach to technology, automation and continuous improvement.The RoleYou will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance and optimisation of control systems across a number of UK manufacturing sites. The position offers a varied mix of project work, system development, troubleshooting, commissioning and ongoing plant support.Key responsibilitiesPLC and SCADA design, development and programming from concept through to commissioningSupporting and developing Rockwell Automation platforms including ControlLogix, CompactLogix, FactoryTalk SE and PlantPAxSupporting Siemens S7 and WinCC systems where requiredDesigning and maintaining industrial control system networksSupporting plant cyber security and operational technology (OT) infrastructureProducing engineering documentation including URS, FDS, Cause & Effect Charts and Control NarrativesParticipating in HAZOPs, Management of Change (MOC) reviews and process safety activitiesProviding technical support during commissioning, upgrades and fault-finding activitiesWorking closely with operations, maintenance and project teams to deliver safe and reliable plant performanceRemotely supporting control systems across multiple UK sites as requiredThe PersonWe are keen to speak with Control Systems Engineers, Automation Engineers or Process Control Engineers who can demonstrate:Strong PLC programming experience within industrial manufacturing environmentsExperience with Rockwell Automation platforms including ControlLogix, CompactLogix and FactoryTalkKnowledge of SCADA systems and industrial communications networksExperience designing control systems from first principlesStrong fault-finding and commissioning skillsExperience producing technical documentation and supporting engineering projectsUnderstanding of industrial networking, managed switches and system architectureAdditional ExperiencePlantPAxSiemens S7 and WinCCOT Cyber SecurityVirtualised environmentsFunctional Safety, SIFs and SIL systemsCOMAH, chemical, pharmaceutical, water treatment, energy or other process manufacturing environmentsIf you're a Control Systems Engineer looking for a role that offers technical variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing manufacturing organisation, we'd like to hear from you.Located in South East, this role would be commutable from Tilbury, Dartford, Greenhithe, Erith, Bexleyheath, Basildon, Brentford, Romford, Rochester, Gillingham and Upminster.For further information call Sarah Clarke#J-18808-Ljbffr
