Control Systems Specialist – Decatur, ILResponsible for performing field repairs of control devices in production areas within the plant, following all safety protocols and preventive maintenance schedules.Key Responsibilities Adhere to all safety rules and identify and correct potential safety issues.Apply strong instrumentation, maintenance, and test equipment knowledge.Use precision‑measuring instruments to test performance during repairs and preventive maintenance.Follow SOPs and PM task instruction sets.Apply mechanical/electrical analysis to diagnose and solve problems on process systems and instrumentation.Use PLC logic, P&ID drawings, and electrical schematics as diagnostic tools.Configure and calibrate control system instruments with HART communicators.Troubleshoot motor control circuits, 4‑20mA instrument loops, VFDs, soft‑start controllers, PLC networks, and other industrial controls.Maintain and calibrate process analyzers, continuous emissions monitors, discrete & analog control valves, and transmitters.Interface with the CMMS to record labor, locate spare parts, and identify storeroom locations.Qualifications & Physical Requirements Ability to safely lift equipment and tools up to 50lb without mechanical assistance.Proficiency in using hand tools at shoulder height or higher, including under ergonomically stressful conditions.Capability to work in elevated positions with fall‑rescue equipment and to climb stairs or ladders up to 15ft.Wearing and understanding PPE requirements, including passing a pulmonary test for use of breathing air masks.Capability to stand for prolonged periods, bend, twist at the waist and knees, and handle hot or cold environments.Experience in Microsoft Office 365.Benefits Starting pay of $39.31/hr plus overtime.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) plan with company matching.Paid holidays, vacation, and floating days.Parental leave for new parents.Curriculum and training support.#J-18808-Ljbffr
