Controller - $130K + Bonus

Our client, a rapidly growing professional services company, is seeking a Controller to manage the daily financial activities of the company. This person will report to the CFO and manage a small team.

Essential Functions

\n

• \n
• Maintain the general ledger and lead the monthly close process.
• \n
• Oversee the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
• \n
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements.
• \n
• Develop annual budgets and forecasts.
• \n
• Oversee all accounting functions and processes.
• \n
• Ensure proper account coding and prepare journal entries.
• \n
• Reconcile GL and Billing ledgers.
• \n
• Implement internal controls and procedures to ensure accounting record integrity.
• \n
• Mentor and train accounting staff.
• \n
• Forecast weekly and monthly revenue, labor hours, labor dollars, variable costs, and period P&L.
• \n
• Review financial data to identify variances and initiate corrective actions with operations and sales groups.
• \n
• Conduct Actual vs. Budget and Forecast variance analysis.
• \n
• Perform ad hoc analysis as required.

Skills and Qualifications

• \n
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
• \n
• Must have organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to multitask
• \n
• Must have good communication skills, both written and oral
• \n
• A minimum of 7 years of experience
• \n
• Excellent financial management and leadership skills
• \n
• Effective employee relations skills
• \n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• \n
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, specifically in Excel
• \n
• Demonstrated ability to recognize and report cost drivers and/or saving opportunities
• \n
