The Controller reporting directly to the CEO is responsible for establishing financial & operational benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, & reporting standards to manage all financial operations, reporting and compliance. You will manage and oversee a high-performing team to drive continued company growth through leadership, collaboration and coaching to exceed company and team goals. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator & skilled financial analyst who will streamline budgeting & financial reporting processes. Additionally, the Controller will create detailed financial status reports for leadership to help improve operational efficiency.

Background Profile:
  • BS in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or CA – a Plus
  • 5+ years Senior-Level Accounting or Finance Manager experience including managing a Finance department and team
  • Audit Firm experience – a Plus
  • 3+ years’ Transportation/Logistics Industry experience – a Big Plus
  • Strong treasury functions, banking processes & financial data analysis experience
  • Working knowledge of national & local tax regulations & compliance reporting
  • You excel at financial project management & streamlining accounting processes
  • M&A & Capital Raising experience
  • Public experience – a Big Plus
  • You are a Results-Driven Self-Starter who thrives on managing company budgets and overall decision-making toward maintaining financial integrity
  • You are a Strong Servant Leader and business partner with the ability to connect with all levels of leadership as well as lead, coach and mentor a team
  • You would describe yourself as Highly Analytical, Organized and someone who enjoys planning projects with great attention-to-detail and time management skills
