About the Controller Opportunity:

Our client is seeking a skilled Interim Controller to provide accounting leadership and financial oversight during a transition period. This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end close activities, and maintaining strong internal controls while partnering with leadership to achieve business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who can quickly assess processes, stabilize operations, and add value in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Controller:

• Lead and oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
• 
  
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• 
  
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• 
  
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• 
  
• Analyze financial results and provide insights to executive leadership.
• 
  
• Oversee account reconciliations and resolve complex accounting issues.
• 
  
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance metrics.
• 
  
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• 
  
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party partners.
• 
  
• Evaluate and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
• 
  
• Assist with ERP implementations, system upgrades, integrations, or other special projects.
• 
  
• Mentor and support accounting staff as needed.
• 
  

Qualifications for the Controller:

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 
  
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 
  
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• 
  
• Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation
• 
  
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• 
  
• Ability to quickly learn new environments and drive results
• 
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
