A not-for-profit healthcare provider located in Brattleboro, VT needs a Controller for their team!

Your qualifications for the Controller position are as follows:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance required; CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in healthcare financial management
  • Experience with healthcare-related net patient revenue
  • Knowledge and experience in reimbursement, internal audit, budgeting, financial analysis, managed care contracts, and management information systems
  • Excellent communication, team-building, and analytical skills
Benefits you will receive as the Controller:

For the Controller position your duties will include:
 
  • Oversee financial operations including general accounting, reimbursement, budgeting and forecasting, audits, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, fixed assets, AR, AP including tax, closings, cash management, and accounting system maintenance
  • Implement financial policies and internal controls in accordance with GAAP
  • Establish and achieve department goals; develop, track, and report KPIs to CFO
  • Hire, train, motivate, develop, and assign workflow to staff
  • Foster a positive, team-based work culture that optimizes patient care and safety 
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to meet operational objectives and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Other tasks as assigned
