Join Our Team! Lavelle Industries Inc. is searching for a Controller based out of our Burlington, WI facility, with multi-facility oversight. In this role, you will play a critical role in guiding our financial operations while partnering closely with leaders across the organization. This role blends strong technical accounting expertise with leadership, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to support our long-term vision.

Lavelle is a woman-owned, family business best known for our Korky brand of toilet repair products-trusted staples in the home improvement market. We are vertically integrated, developing and manufacturing our own proprietary rubber formulations and designing products for ease of use, universal fit, and long-term performance.

Key Responsibilities

The Controller is responsible for overseeing core financial functions while driving continuous improvement and strong cross-functional alignment.

  • Lead, develop, and support the finance team
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Oversee capital expenditures, tax preparation (including sales & use tax), and regulatory compliance
  • Manage accounts payable and support accounts receivable in partnership with Customer Operations Manager
  • Perform financial analysis, including overhead rates and commodity price change mechanisms.
  • Modernize financial reporting using data visualization tools. Promote the use of data for decision making and continuous improvement at all levels.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts by making problems visible and reducing complexity.
  • Manage key vendor relationships, including banking, insurance, and accounting partners in the U.S. and Mexico.
  • Leverage external resources and partners to strengthen financial processes and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with HR on payroll reporting, 401(k) administration, benefit auditing, and insurance
  • Act as a supportive and engaged leader across the organization, embracing an "all one team" mindset

Experience

The successful candidate will bring a blend of accounting expertise, analytical strength, and leadership experience:

  • Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial operations
  • Experience with data analysis and financial modeling
  • Background in manufacturing environments is preferred
  • Proven experience in team leadership and vendor management

Logistics

  • Ability to travel to Mexico 1-2 times per year
  • Onsite role based in Burlington, WI. Standard M-F business hours schedule.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish would be a delighter
