About the Role
World Truck Towing & Recovery is a privately owned, growing heavy-duty towing, recovery, and emergency services company with a significant investment in specialized equipment and assets. Role Overview
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations while supporting ownership with strategic, operational, and asset-based financial decision-making. • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning

• Partner with ownership on capital expenditure planning, asset acquisition, and disposal decisions
• Perform lease vs. purchase and ROI analysis for major equipment

• Work directly with ownership on financial strategy and growth planning
• Provide financial support related to DOT compliance, insurance, and risk management
• Assist with HR-related financial matters such as payroll, benefits, and labor cost analysis
• Step outside traditional finance functions when needed to support the business
CFO Growth Path
This role is intended to evolve into a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position for the right individual. Advancement will be based on performance, leadership, and contribution to company growth—not tenure alone.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Experience in asset-heavy industries such as trucking, towing, logistics, construction, or equipment-based businesses strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP, depreciation, and capital asset management
• Comfortable working directly with ownership in a fast-moving, hands-on environment
• High level of accountability, flexibility, and ownership mindset
Work Environment & Expectations
• 100% on-site position at our Seville, Ohio headquarters

• 401(k) plan with employer match
• Long-term compensation growth opportunity as the role evolves into CFO
