Position Overview:

Advises leadership on financial management across a multi-site, single-market organization. Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, general and cost accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and risk management. Develops and maintains financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems while ensuring compliance with GAAP, legal and regulatory requirements, and company policies. Analyzes financial performance and variances to support operational and strategic decision-making. Supports and adheres to the Cancer Care Northwest Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures. Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls.
  • Maximizes return and limits risk on cash by minimizing cash balances and making investments. 
  • Provides status of financial condition of the company by collecting, interpreting and reporting key financial data.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.
  • Advises management of actions and potential risks. Arranges for audits as required and appropriate.
  • Manages budget and controls expenses effectively.
  • Hires, trains, develop and appraise staff effectively. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consults with Human Resources as appropriate.
  • Keeps up to date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance.
  • Supervises assigned Accounting and accounting support staff.
  • Performs all other duties/responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum seven years of experience in fiscal management. Three years public accounting experience preferred. Healthcare experience preferred. CPA, CMPE preferred. 

 

Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:

  • Regularly: sit, grasp, reach, talk, or hear
  • Occasionally: lift up to 40 pounds, pull/push up to 40 pounds, carry up to 40 pounds, bend, and stoop/crouch
  • Vision: clearly see up to 5 feet with or without corrective lenses 

Workplace Environmental ConditionsWhile performing the essential duties/responsibilities of this job, the employee will not be exposed to any workplace environmental conditions caused by extreme noise, heat, cold, hazardous, toxic, pathogen, or atmospheric exposures.

 

Salary DOE – $124,368 - $174,116
