Controller – Construction


Growing Construction and Architecture firm company is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and financial operations. This role oversees financial reporting, job cost accounting, WIP, cash flow, and internal controls across multiple active projects.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations and monthly close
  • Oversee job cost accounting, WIP, percentage-of-completion, and AIA billing
  • Partner with project teams to monitor costs, margins, and project performance
  • Manage cash flow, lender and surety reporting, audits, and compliance
  • Lead and develop the accounting team; improve systems and processes


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, with strong construction background
  • Deep knowledge of job costing, WIP, and construction billing
  • Experience with lenders, bonding, and GAAP financial reporting
