We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all aspects of our accounting and financial operations. This position is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and providing strategic guidance to leadership. The ideal candidate is both technically skilled and collaborative, with a commitment to accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Oversight

• Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory accounting, and the general ledger.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Monitor cash flow, profitability, and key operational performance metrics.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records and reporting.

Strategic Financial Partnership

• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic financial planning and business decisions.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Support pricing strategies, inventory management, and business planning through financial analysis.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and financial processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors, accountants, financial institutions, and other business partners.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support annual audits.

Operational Support

• Monitor inventory valuation, turnover, and related financial reporting.
• Support operational departments with financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
• Assist leadership with forecasting and financial planning initiatives that support business growth.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and collaboration.
• Provide timely financial insights that support informed business decisions.
• Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes, systems, and controls.
• Serve as a trusted financial resource for leadership and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum of five years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Experience in an inventory-based business environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with inventory accounting and floor plan financing is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
