Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to lead our accounting function and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting while improving processes and supporting strategic decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Compliance- Own GAAP financial statements and reporting- Lead month-end and year-end close process- Oversee accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, payroll, revenue recognition)- Manage audits and ensure complianceCash Management -Monthly Bank Reconciliations -Weekly Cash Balance Report -Tie daily cash reports to SF -Reconcile Petty CashLeadership & Team Management- Lead and develop accounting team- Seamlessly integrate acquisition targetsProcess Improvement & Systems- Drive automation and ERP improvementsBusiness Partnership- Support leadership with insights, budgeting, and forecastingRequired skills/experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance- CPA preferred- 10–15 years' experience; 5+ years as Controller- Strong GAAP knowledge and team leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications- Public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm)- Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environment- ERP implementation or optimization experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)- Industry experience aligned with life sciences, media, or B2B services preferred
