Controller – Central Dallas | $185K-$250K + Bonus
Unity Search has partnered with a premier real estate developers seeking a Controller to lead its accounting and finance operations. This is a high-impact role offering direct visibility to the CFO and executive leadership, exposure to award-winning master-planned and multifamily projects, and the chance to make a lasting impact on a respected, growing company. Role Highlights:
  • Lead accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, consolidations, and treasury
  • Oversee preparation of GAAP financial statements across multiple entities
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and project funding
  • Provide financial insights to support project performance and strategic decision-making
  • Implement and strengthen internal controls, policies, and processes
  • Partner with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders
  • Mentor, train, and lead accounting staff to build a high-performing team
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with 3+ years in leadership
  • Background in real estate, land development, construction, or multifamily required
  • Strong GAAP knowledge, consolidations, and joint venture/partnership reporting
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, cash flow, and investor reporting
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (Sage Intacct a plus)
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
