Job Details

This role will oversee the company’s accounting operations, including financial reporting, maintaining accurate accounting records, and strengthening internal controls and budgeting processes to mitigate risk and ensure GAAP compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Assist in the budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions.
  • Coordinate banking relationships and compliance reporting.
  • Coordinate audit activities and liaise with external auditors.
  • Oversee tax preparation and filing in coordination with external advisors.
  • Analyze financial data and provide strategic insights to senior management.
  • Build and manage a job costing framework to provide management visibility into job level profitability, including as part of the job quoting process
  • Lead financial integration efforts for M&A activity, including aligning accounting policies, and consolidating financial systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification required.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management or senior accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and business practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intact, etc).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience managing teams.
