Position Overview

The Controller will lead day-to-day accounting functions while also contributing at a strategic level. This individual will manage a small team, drive process improvements, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting within a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including AP, AR, billing, and general ledger
• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Monitor cash flow, financial performance metrics, and overall profitability
• Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives and decision-making
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and industry regulations
• Manage and mentor a small accounting team
• Evaluate and improve systems, processes, and internal controls
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 3-5 years of leadership or team management experience
• Experience within professional services environments strongly preferred
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting experience
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel
