Lead the Finance Function. Influence Strategy. Drive Results.

Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and finance operations for one of its key manufacturing facilities. This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on finance leader who enjoys partnering with operations, influencing business strategy, and making a measurable impact on the success of a manufacturing site.

As the senior finance leader at the location, you'll serve as the financial business partner to site leadership while overseeing all accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and operational analysis.

Position Highlights

  • Strong, tenured accounting team already in place with exceptional longevity and stability within the department.

  • Lead two direct reports, including an experienced Accounting Manager with extensive company knowledge and deep institutional expertise.

  • High-visibility leadership role with the opportunity to influence key business decisions and partner directly with plant and executive leadership.

  • Operate as the financial leader for the site—essentially serving as the CFO for this location within a multi-site national manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting and financial operations for the manufacturing facility.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis.

  • Partner closely with operations to improve profitability, productivity, and cost controls.

  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.

  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

  • Develop and mentor the accounting team while fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • CPA or CMA preferred.

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.

  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost accounting.

  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with operations and executive leadership.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

If you're looking for an opportunity where your financial leadership will directly influence business performance—and where you'll inherit a talented, experienced team—this is a role worth exploring.
