Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Controller to lead financial operations across both its B2B wholesale business and its direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform. This individual will oversee core accounting functions, drive financial reporting accuracy, and support strategic planning as the company continues to expand.

This is a highly visible leadership role partnering closely with executive leadership and operational teams to ensure strong financial controls, scalable processes, and actionable financial insights.

Job Details

Responsibilities
  • Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, inventory accounting, payroll, and tax compliance
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Prepare financial statements and executive reporting packages with analysis on key drivers, trends, and variances
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in partnership with leadership and operational teams
  • Analyze COGS, inventory valuation, and gross margin performance to inform pricing and supply chain decisions
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital across multiple revenue channels
  • Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and ERP platforms
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance, accounting, and payroll team
  • Strengthen internal controls and develop scalable financial processes to support continued growth

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
  • Experience in inventory-heavy environments, consumer products, wholesale, or e-commerce strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and cost accounting
  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
  • Proven leadership ability with experience managing accounting teams
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
