Overview
Otter Products is recruiting a Controller to lead all accounting operations for the Company, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, maintaining an effective control environment, and supporting strategic business objectives. This role is based at our Fort Collins, CO headquarters.
As the Controller, you will serve as a key member of the finance leadership team and act as a strategic business partner to executive leadership by providing financial insights, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. In this role you will oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; financial statement preparation; accounting policy compliance; audit coordination; technical accounting; treasury support; tax compliance coordination; and financial systems administration. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, lender requirements, and applicable regulatory obligations while developing a scalable accounting infrastructure to support organizational growth.
In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Controller is a people leader responsible for managing accounting personnel across general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and financial reporting functions.

Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree in Accounting is required. Master''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required. CMA or other relevant certifications may be considered.
Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive accounting and finance experience is required. Strong candidates will have:
Experience managing monthly close and financial reporting processes.
Advanced background in U.S. GAAP and technical accounting.
Experience managing external audits.
Experience within a private equity-backed, privately held, or high-growth organization preferred.
Manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, retail, technology, or relevant industry experience preferred depending on business model.
ERP implementation or finance transformation experience preferred.
Minimum of (4) years in a manager, or higher-level, position leading accounting teams is required.

USD $150,000.00/Yr.
For US Based Roles Only - Base Compensation Range Maximum
USD $192,500.00/Yr.
