Controller Opportunity

Our client is a public company seeking a Controller specializing in Real Estate to join their growing Miami area office. The ideal candidate will understand real estate financial management and demonstrate the ability to lead and optimize our accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget, and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
• Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 3 years in a real estate environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
