This role is central to the financial integrity of our business—overseeing high-volume transaction accounting, ensuring accuracy in earnings and cost of goods sold, and strengthening the systems that support our growth.Reporting directly to the CEO, the Controller will play a key role in financial strategy, operational execution, and decision support. This is a high-impact leadership position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, detail-driven environment and wants to help shape the financial future of a growing organization.What You'll DoAccounting Operations & OversightLead all day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, general ledger, and payrollEnsure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of accounting processesPayment Reconciliation & Transaction IntegrityOversee reconciliation of high-volume payment flows and trust account disbursementsEnsure precise matching of incoming funds, processor settlements, and merchant payoutsServe as a critical control point for transaction accuracy and financial integrityFinancial ReportingPrepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAPDeliver clear, actionable financial insights to leadershipInternal Controls & CompliancePartner with the Chief Compliance Officer to strengthen internal controls and fraud prevention measuresEnsure compliance with PCI-DSS, SOC 2 standards, and applicable regulationsTreasury & Cash ManagementManage cash concentration and movement from trust accountsOversee forecasting and liquidity planning to support operational needsTax & External CoordinationAct as liaison with external tax partners to ensure timely and accurate filingsStrategic Finance & Business SupportAnalyze program and campaign performance, including yield and profitabilitySupport annual budgeting, variance analysis, and financial planningProvide insights that guide growth and operational decision-makingTeam LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop the accounting teamBuild a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvementWhat You BringEducation & CredentialsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)CPA, CMA, or CCM strongly preferredExperience8+ years of progressive accounting experience4+ years in a leadership or supervisory roleExperience in fintech, payment processing, or high-volume transaction environments strongly preferredTechnical SkillsAdvanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systemsSQL or data querying experience is a plusKnowledgeStrong command of GAAPFamiliarity with tax considerations including Section 179Key CompetenciesAnalytical Rigor: Ability to interpret complex transaction data, identify discrepancies, and validate automated outputsAttention to Detail: Precision in reviewing financial records and transaction flowsLeadership: Proven ability to develop and elevate a teamCommunication: Able to translate complex financial concepts into clear business insightsWhy Autoscribe?Established, stable company with a strong reputation in FintechHigh-impact role with direct CEO visibilityOpportunity to shape and scale financial operationsCollaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented cultureThis position is a hybrid role, based in our Fort Lauderdale Office#J-18808-Ljbffr
