Controller - Full-Time

We’re hiring a Controller to oversee accounting and reporting for a group of legal entities within a large, complex organization. This role is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting and serves as the final reviewer on technical accounting matters. You’ll lead and develop a team of accounting professionals while partnering closely with senior management, auditors, and regulators.

What You’ll Do

• Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for multiple legal entities
• Review and sign off on complex journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting judgments
• Lead and build a team responsible for day-to-day accounting and close activities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and internal audit/SOX partners
• Prepare and explain financial results to executive leadership and governance groups
• Ensure a strong control environment and proactively identify and address risks
• Support statutory, regulatory, and special reporting requirements as needed
• Drive process improvements to make close and reporting more efficient and reliable

Qualifications:

• CPA required
• 8–15 years of accounting experience
• Background in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm), industry, or both
• Strong understanding of close, consolidations, and technical accounting
• Experience working in a public-company environment is highly preferred
• Proven ability to lead, review, and hold teams accountable
