Job Summary:


Tarsco Bolted Tank, a TF Warren company, has an outstanding opportunity within our organization for a controller reporting to the Vice President of the Tarsco Bolted Tank and Globaltherm Insulation business units – those with an operations/discrete manufacturing environment, construction and percentage of completion accounting background receiving preferential consideration.


The Tarsco Bolted Tank corporate office is located at 5897 State Highway 59 in Goodman, MO. The normal scheduled in office working hours are Monday-Thursday, 10 hour set shifts with overtime as needed due to business demands and job assignment deadlines.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Monitor budgeting of various activities, percentage of completion accounting, work in process, cost in excess, billing in excess, recognition of cost, job costing, cost accounting, contract billing, accounts payable and monthly/quarterly/annual closings.

· Through a constant review of project costs, revenues, billings and cash the Controller is responsible to report to Vice President any possible sources of loss or delay

· Support the Project Managers and Management in the definition and update of project budgets, providing all necessary data.

· Coordinate the collection and analysis of actual data, review of preliminary data for the deviation analysis, the investigation of related causes and designate possible solutions

· Coordinate the collection, control and consolidation of data required for monthly reporting while verifying the ongoing data and comparing to the budget criteria

· Financial analysis of manufacturing operations, construction, engineering, sales, pricing, job quoting and inventory

· Responsible for the review and preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and financial reporting package provided the business unit and Corporate executive management team

· Monitoring daily cash flow (receipts / disbursements) assuring sufficient cash on hand for operating the business and forecast cash flow on a 12 week rolling basis

· Coordinate and monitor credit approval process

· Responsible for all GL account reconciliation related to manufacturing and construction

· Support the team in achieving fixed overhead goals through detailed departmental reporting and analysis

· Coordinate and assimilate all standard cost data on a timely basis

· Maintain all costing data in the Netsuite systems, including labor, variable overhead, fixed overhead, etc.

· Responsible for supporting the Vice President and Corporate Finance in annual budget preparation

· Develop manufacturing and construction standard cost for each budget year

· Prepare budget operations package and related financial analyses for manufacturing and construction

· Responsible for financial input and preparation of cost estimates on new products as requested from the sales and project management teams

· Provide support for ERP system modules and other accounting software as may be needed

· Develop, review on an annual basis and revise as needed the financial policies and procedures

· Coordinate and work with external auditors on the annual audit of financials and controls testing and support of the underlying data

· Monthly inventory reporting (raw materials, turns, cycle times, and product line totals)

· Month end closing of production inventories

· Make adjusting entries for inventory / WIP transactions

· Reconcile ending balances to general ledger

· Support of annual business plan

· Manage credit transactions for both businesses units

· Analyze major sales projects, their costs, and report on profitability by project

· Prepare the monthly project reconciliation and reconcile percentage of completion for revenue reporting on a monthly basis

· Review ROI and related analysis for capital projects; monitor progress

· Assists with related assigned duties from the Corporate Finance department as needed

· Ad hoc financial analyses and special projects, as needed

Competencies:

  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
  • Advanced knowledge of NetSuite accounting software.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Education and/or Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required

· Construction and percent of completion accounting background required

· Expertise in US GAAP

· Excellent computer skills, with 5 or more years of ERP-system experience preferred

· 7 or more years of accounting experience with manufacturing / construction companies of $40m - $75m is desired

· Strong organizational, time management and communication skills are required in a professional manner with a high attention to detail and self confidence

Required Travel:

· Less than 5% travel to support business needs
