Interim Controller - Manufacturing (Consulting / Contract Opportunity)
Location: Hackensack, NJ (On-Site)
Compensation: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

We are partnering with a growing manufacturing company in Hackensack, NJ seeking an Interim Controller to support their finance team during a critical period of transition and growth.
This is a high-visibility role where you will work closely with executive leadership, stabilize accounting operations, and help drive process improvements.
What You'll Be Doing:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, and month-end close
Lead and streamline the month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Manage and mentor accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Identify process gaps and implement improvements and controls
Support audit readiness and coordinate with external auditors
Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial regulations
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Controller or Senior Accounting Leader
Strong background in manufacturing accounting (cost accounting, inventory, standard costing)
Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality
Ability to quickly assess processes and implement improvements
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics, or similar)
CPA strongly preferred
