Job Summary: PPI Quality & Engineering is partnering with Kiwa North America to hire a hands-on, technically strong Controller to lead and enhance accounting operations across its North American platform, including existing subsidiaries and future acquisitions. About the role:

This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving accounting excellence and supporting ERP transformation with Microsoft Dynamics 365. The ideal candidate is a strong accounting leader first and foremost, with deep operational expertise, a collaborative leadership style, and a proven ability to build high-performing teams in complex, multi-entity environments. This role partners closely with the CFO and business leaders to ensure strong financial governance, operational discipline, and a scalable finance infrastructure to support growth.

 

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as Controller for Kiwa North America and selected operating companies, with scopeexpanding as the organization grows and integrates acquisitions
• Lead all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy,timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP (and IFRS where applicable)
• Act as a hands-on leader in core accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, revenue recognition, fixed assets, leases, and intercompany accounting
• Oversee and coordinate internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and remediation of findings
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to support a robust governance environment
• Partner with FP&A, tax, and treasury (separate function) to support reporting and provide insights into cash flow and working capital
• Lead accounting integration for acquisitions, including process alignment, controls implementation, and system transitions
• Play a key role in the implementation and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP
• Build, lead, and develop high-performing, engaged accounting teams, including remote and offshore resources
• Support the CFO on strategic initiatives, transformation efforts, and special projects

Do you have what it takes?:

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or equivalent senior leadership role
• Experience in Big 7 public accounting firm

• Deep, hands-on expertise in month-end close, financial reporting, and technical accounting
• Strong experience managing internal and external audits
• Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial governance frameworks
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP implementation/transformational initiatives
• Experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency, and international accounting environments
• Demonstrated experience leading accounting integration for acquisitions
• Strong leadership experience managing remote and distributed accounting teams
