Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement effective financial strategies, control systems, and processes to support the overall company's strategic direction.
  • Responsible for cost control measures to ensure project profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct risk management to identify and address potential risks that could hinder the company's reputation, safety, security, and financial prosperity.
  • Lead the financial planning process, including strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all financial functions.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess financial status and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and the company's policies.
  • Create and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to the CEO and the senior management team.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, stakeholders, and executives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficient in financial software and MS Office Suite, particularly in MS Excel.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in strategic planning and risk management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to a non-financial audience.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to business process improvement.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations, as well as experience with corporate governance.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously with a result-oriented mindset.
