Controller
Salary: $80,000 – $100,000
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Schedule: Full-time, on-site (hybrid — 2 days WFH once fully trained)

Key Responsibilities for the Controller:
• Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across multiple business units
• Drive cash flow optimization and investment planning initiatives
• Deliver clear, actionable financial insights to support executive decision-making
• Oversee and refine payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Partner with HR on compensation, benefits, bonuses, and deductions
• Produce GAAP-compliant financial statements including P&L and balance sheets
• Lead audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance efforts
• Build, implement, and enforce internal controls and financial SOPs
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing finance team
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and procurement
• Own and evolve the financial tech stack and ERP/accounting systems
Qualifications for the Controller:
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• 3+ years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and end-to-end financial operations
• Experience in fast-growing or evolving environments; service, construction, or project-based industries a plus
• ERP or accounting system implementation experience strongly preferred
• CPA preferred but not required
• People-first leadership mindset with a collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
