Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, WIP reporting, and project cost analysis while partnering with project managers on financial performance.
• 
  
• Serve as a key leader in a company-wide ERP implementation and help drive process improvements across the accounting function.
• 
  
• Act as the financial liaison between departments, providing insights, analysis, and recommendations to support business decisions.
• 
  
• Oversee accounting operations, internal controls, and the daily activities of the accounting team while driving operational efficiencies.
• 
  
• Support executive leadership with strategic financial planning and business initiatives.
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred (Associate's degree considered); CPA is a plus.
• 
  
• Controller-level experience within the construction, mechanical contracting, or similar project-based industry required.
• 
  
• Experience leading or participating in ERP/software implementations and organizational change management.
• 
  
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, WIP reporting, job costing, and project financial analysis.
• 
  
• Leadership or team lead experience preferred, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
