Kforce's client, a Manufacturer in the Aerospace industry, is seeking an experienced Controller with a strong background in manufacturing accounting to support accurate inventory valuation, cost standard maintenance, and variance analysis. This individual will play a key role in ensuring cost data integrity, driving process improvements, and supporting informed business decisions across operations and finance Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain inventory records to ensure accurate reporting and valuation
  • Establish, update, and monitor cost standards to reflect current production and material costs
  • Maintain rolling standards to support continuous cost accuracy and forecasting
  • Conduct and reconcile cycle counts to ensure proper inventory control
  • Analyze and report on manufacturing cost variances, identifying cost drivers and supporting reduction initiatives
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor overhead rates to ensure accurate allocation of indirect costs to products and departments
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Assist with month-end close, reporting, and audit support related to inventory and cost accounting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • Strong manufacturing accounting background (Senior Cost Accountant level or similar)
  • Expertise in inventory, cost standards, rolling standards, cycle counts, manufacturing cost variances, and overhead rates
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other analytical functions
  • Proven ability to analyze data, explain variances, and provide actionable recommendations

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
