Key ResponsibilitiesMonth-End Close & ReportingExecute month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsPrepare monthly financial reporting packages for management reviewReconcile bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basisDevelop cash forecasting and short-term liquidity projectionsPayrollProcess weekly payroll across hourly, W-2, and 1099 vendor populationsWork with operations leaders to ensure accurate time tracking, tax withholding, and compliance with multi-state/local requirements as applicableMaintain payroll records and respond to employee pay inquiries in coordination with HR team leaderInventory ManagementManage inventory transactions in Square and NetSuite, including transfer orders, purchase orders, and SKU creationPerform / oversee periodic inventory counts and process adjustmentsCoordinate with studio managers on inventory discrepancies and shrinkageAccounts Payable & Vendor ManagementManage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice coding, approval routing, and payment processingMaintain vendor records and resolve billing discrepanciesTax, Compliance & AdministrativeServe as primary liaison with the external accounting/tax firm for annual tax return preparation, providing supporting schedules and documentation as requestedTrack and renew business licenses, permits, and insurance policies across all locationsMaintain organized records to support audit and compliance requestsQualificationsIdeally, 3–6 years of progressive accounting/bookkeeping experience, ideally in a multi-location business with retail inventoryRequired: Hands-on proficiency in NetSuite (GL, AP, inventory modules) and Square (POS/payments reconciliation)Working knowledge of payroll processing across hourly, salaried, and 1099 contractor populationsStrong Excel skills; comfort working with high transaction volumes across multiple entities/locationsHigh attention to detail and strong reconciliation disciplineAbility to work independently and manage competing deadlines in a lean finance functionPreferredExperience in consumer services, retail, or healthcare services with a multi-location footprintAssociate's or Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field (not required with relevant prior experience)
