Description

ControllerThe Controller will be responsible for the overall financial management of the business, including ownership of the income statement and balance sheet, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, internal controls, and performance analysis. This individual will serve as a key advisor to operational and executive leadership while leading a small accounting team and helping advance finance processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.Job DescriptionLead all accounting and financial reporting activities for the business unit.Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.Maintain ownership of general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity.Partner with business leadership to provide financial insights that support operational and strategic decisions.Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.Analyze financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.Drive variance analysis across revenue, margins, operating expenses, inventory, and capital investments.Strengthen financial controls, compliance processes, and accounting procedures.Support capital expenditure planning, tracking, and reporting.Lead and mentor accounting team members, fostering accountability and professional development.Collaborate with cross-functional leaders across operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and executive management.Support ongoing business transformation and finance process improvement initiatives.Play a key role in enhancing reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.Contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives involving systems, reporting, and operational efficiency improvements.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
