Our organization is currently seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Permanent Controller to oversee our financial operations within the manufacturing industry. This is a dynamic role that demands an analytical mind, a firm grasp on financial management principles, and a professional who can effectively develop and implement financial strategies. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, and cost accounting, aiming to guide our company towards profitability and long-term success.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
2. Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with CEO, COO and the leadership team.
3. Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth.
4. Develop and implement rigorous and effective financial controls, systems and processes.
5. Oversee the investment and portfolio strategy; manage relationships with banks.
6. Manage budgeting process and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual budgets.
7. Conduct continuous analysis of forecasted and actual budgetary performance.
8. Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
9. Lead and coordinate the preparation of the financial forecasts and report variances.
10. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
11. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
12. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
13. Oversee inventory accounting and cost accounting practices.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
2. Professional accounting designation (CMA, CGA or CPA).
3. Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven record of success.
4. Solid knowledge of data analysis, risk management, budgeting and forecasting.
5. Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software.
6. Expertise in corporate governance and general management best practices.
7. An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
8. Excellent communication and people skills.
9. An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
10. Proficient in MS Office and financial management software.
11. Knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
12. Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
