Job Summary

The Controller is part of the locations leadership team responsible for managing all financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls for Levy at New Ryan Field.

They act as a strategic partner to Northwestern | Ryan Sports | Levy leadership, providing financial insights to drive profitability, while ensuring compliance with Levy standards.

Qualifications:

• 6 + years in a Finance/Accounting role or education equivalent
• Food & Beverage Experience preferred - Restaurants and/or Hospitality
• High level of Excel literacy
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work non-standard hours as dictated by event schedule
• Ability to hold active state liquor license where state laws are applicable

Controller services as the location SME on financial completion, financial targets and financial awareness

• Financial Reporting & Close: manage monthly and annual close process for the location, including but not limited to monthly commission or profit share calculation & payments, various balance sheet reconciliations, and Event Sales Summaries
• Forecasting: At minimum re-forecasted financials semi-monthly
• Financial Analysis: perform profitability analysis and variance analysis to provide actionable insights to location's management
• Budget: leads locations budgeting process completing once yearly
• Compliance: support an environment of strong controls and assist other disciplines with best practices and Levy policies
• Strategic Support: partner with location managers to advise on operational strategies, cost improvements and investment through creating new reporting and/or utilizing established Levy tools, including training department managers on basic financial acumen
• Ad Hoc as assigned by leadership, including but not limited to operational event support
