    Position: Controller
    Location: Midtown Manhattan, New York
    Duration: Permanent/ FTE
    Pay range:$90,000–$120,000 + bonus eligibility


    Must have:Full-cycle bookkeeping, Cash Management, AP/Invoices, Funding, Collections / repayments/Payments

    Job Overview:
    We are seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee daily accounting and financial operations, including collections, accounts payable, bank transfers, deal funding, bookkeeping, investor payments, and regulatory filings. This upgraded role is ideal for an experienced bookkeeper or accounts payable professional ready to take on broader responsibilities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage daily accounting and financial operations, including collections and accounts payable.
    • Oversee bank transfers, deal funding, and investor payments.
    • Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records.
    • Handle regulatory filings and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to manage high-volume workloads effectively.

    Qualifications:
    • 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or financial operations.
    • Strong full-cycle bookkeeping and cash-management skills.
    • Proficiency in managing invoices, repayments, bank transfers, reconciliations, and financial records.
    • Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas and report creation.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work onsite five days per week and manage a high-volume workload.

    Preferred Experience:
    • Familiarity with Salesforce and business banking platforms.
    • Experience in specialty finance, private lending, or fund administration.
    • Knowledge of NMLS, DFPI, state licensing, or regulatory filings.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

    Interview Process:
    • Two virtual interviews with key team members, including the Chief Risk Officer.
    • Final two-hour onsite panel and assessment.
    • Two professional references required at the offer stage.
