Job Details:
Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to lead our finance department. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization in the finance industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
  • Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with CEO, COO and the leadership team.
  • Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth.
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
  • Communicate financial metrics to senior management and provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner and propose strategies to minimize the impact.
  • Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all local, state and federal tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with the local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and manage relationships with external auditors.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and operations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA).
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience with a track record in managing finance (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting) within a complex organization.
  • Proven working experience as a Financial controller in the Finance industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Experience with financial reporting and tax preparation.
  • Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and financial reporting software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are mandatory.
  • Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
  • Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
