Salary Range: $128,000 - $179,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Otsego that are seeking skilled Controllers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including GL, AR, AP, and cost accounting.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, collaborating with department heads to establish financial targets.
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and local laws.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to optimize financial resources.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA certification highly preferred
  • 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
  • Proven experience with ERP systems implementation and optimization
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
