Controller Position Available – Diversified Minerals Incorporated (DMI)

Diversified Minerals Incorporated (DMI) is seeking an experienced Controller to join our team in Oxnard, CA. This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong construction, industrial, manufacturing, or related industry experience.

Position Summary

The Controller will oversee daily accounting operations, payroll, financial reporting, compliance, and administrative functions while supporting management with financial analysis and operational oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll using QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, including quarterly and annual payroll reporting
  • Oversee prevailing wage compliance, including DIR online reporting
  • Maintain fixed asset depreciation schedules for Federal, State, and Book basis
  • Manage company 401(k) plan in coordination with third-party administrators
  • Administer cafeteria/benefit plans
  • Manage accounts payable and payment processing, including annual 1099 reporting
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable staff and assist as needed
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Prepare quarterly financial statements for internal management and bank reporting
  • Coordinate with brokers and management regarding insurance matters
  • Manage loan and financing activities

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting/controller experience required
  • Strong knowledge of payroll, financial reporting, and general accounting
  • Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions preferred
  • Knowledge of California prevailing wage reporting and DIR compliance preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
