Controller

LHH recruitment is seeking a Controller in the Palm Beach Gardens, FL area. Our client is seeking an experienced and driven finance professional to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, treasury management, and financial administration. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nonprofit accounting experience, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of financial management, budgeting, auditing, and reporting processes. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting utilizing Sage 50 software.
• Prepare annual financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Manage and coordinate the annual budgeting process, including departmental budget preparation, review, approval, and distribution.
• Prepare and distribute periodic budget-to-actual reports.
• Coordinate annual independent audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and serving as liaison with external auditors.
• Review and approve payroll actions for staff.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong nonprofit accounting experience required.
• Experience preparing audited financial statements and coordinating external audits.
• Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, fund accounting, reconciliations, and investment accounting.

This position is a contract to hire opportunity that can pay $90k-$110k depending on resume and expereince. Please apply today!

Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
