WHAT YOULL DO
Financial Management & Reporting - Oversee accurate financial recordkeeping, reporting, cash management, budgeting, cost allocation, and compliance for all activities, assets, and liabilities.
Accounting Operations & Payroll - Supervise accounting staff and external bookkeeping support; oversee accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, grant financial activities, payroll, retirement plans, HSAs, and related benefits administration.
Compliance, Audits & Systems - Lead annual audits, grant audits, tax filings, payroll filings, and financial compliance requirements; manage and optimize accounting software, financial systems, and internal controls.
Strategic Financial Support - Prepare financial reports for leadership, the Board, and funders; collaborate with senior management on the annual budget, financial needs, resource development, and other priorities as assigned by the CEO.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Accounting & Professional Experience - Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting practices, financial management, and accounting systems, with a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field and 7+ years of progressively responsible experience.
Leadership & Communication - Excellent organizational, management, financial analysis, multitasking, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, leadership, partners, and diverse communities.
Technology & Cultural Competency - Experience administering accounting and information management systems; fluent in English, with Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, or Vietnamese language skills a plus, and demonstrated commitment to serving diverse communities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the ability to work effectively in a standard office environment, including prolonged periods of sitting, computer use, and occasional movement throughout the workplace. The role may require occasional lifting of light office materials and the ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through virtual platforms.
