Our client, a growing real estate and property operations organization, is seeking a Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting functions. This highly visible leadership role will oversee accounting operations, internal controls, financial planning support, and team development while partnering closely with executive leadership to drive operational excellence and support continued growth.The ideal candidate is a strategic yet hands-on accounting leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and has experience managing complex, multi-entity accounting operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reportingOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPrepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analysesEnsure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controlsManage, mentor, and develop the accounting teamEstablish accounting best practices and process consistencyProvide guidance on technical accounting and financial reporting mattersSupport budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planningMonitor financial performance, cash flow, and key operating metricsProvide financial analysis to support business decisions, growth initiatives, and acquisitionsCoordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors and tax advisorsEnsure compliance with applicable financial regulationsOversee third-party accounting relationships and financial systemsIdentify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and operational efficienciesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field8+ years of progressive accounting experience3+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teams2+ years of experience in multifamily property accountingExperience with YardiLegado Talent provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.#J-18808-Ljbffr
