Controller

The client is a fast growing manufacturing and production company that are looking for a Controller to join the team. The successful candidate will lead a team of 2 direct reports and report directly into the Global CFO. The office is based in Jamaica (Queens - NY) and they have a hybrid working schedule.

Client Details

The client are a global manufacturing company that specialize in packaging for global retail, food and beverage companies. The head office is based in Jamaica (Queens) and they are looking for a Controller to join the team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate MUST have prior experience using an ERP system and must also have prior line management experience, as they will be leading a team of two junior Accountants. The role will be based in Queens, but will also require travel to the Newark (NJ) plant every other week.

Description

The successful Controller will:

• Supervision and coordination of the preparation within determined deadlines of the annual and interim financial statements of the USA Group companies and presentation to the Management of the results achieved
• Supervision and coordination of the budget preparation and revised budgets of the USA Group companies and presentation to the Management
• Supervision and coordination of the finance office teams of the USA Group companies
• Support to tax consultants and auditors in order to ensure the tax regularity of the USA Group companies and the fulfillment of tax and social security obligations
• Coordination of corporate and group policies and processes on administration, finance, financial analysis, reporting and budgeting
• Performance of management control activities
• Determine of finance KPIs
• Adhere to the Law and Companies' policies
• Assistance to the Management in the periodic reports on performance by providing appropriate economic and forecast analyses as well as recommendations
• Support to the Management in financial decisions, both ordinary (analysis of the cash flows of USA Group companies) and extraordinary in the case of non-recurring transactions. Management of relations with banking institutions
• Support to the Management in the analysis of contracts and involvement in corporate policies and procedures
• Participation and coordination of due diligence activities on the occasion of acquisition transactions.

Profile

The successful Controller will:

• Have approximately 7 years of experience working in Accounting and Finance
• MUST have prior line management experience
• MUST have prior experience working with the system ERP system
• Prior experience working in a similar role, within the manufacturing industry (Highly desirable)
• Strong Excel skills
• High attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Offer

• $150,000 - $170,000
