An established and rapidly growing professional services organization is seeking an experienced Controller to take ownership of the finance function and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership. What You'll Do


As the Controller, you'll be the financial backbone of the organization, leading accounting operations while helping drive strategic business decisions.


Key Responsibilities



  • Lead all accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Financial Reporting

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements by profit center

  • Deliver meaningful financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making

  • Develop sophisticated Excel-based models, dashboards, and reporting tools

  • Identify opportunities for automation and streamline existing financial processes

  • Own the annual budget, forecasting process, and variance analysis

  • Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls

  • Partner closely with senior leadership to support growth initiatives and enhance operational performance


What We're Looking For


Required Qualifications



  • 10+ years of Controller experience within a mid-market organization

  • Proven success preparing and analyzing financial statements by profit center

  • Advanced Excel expertise, including financial modeling and reporting

  • Strong track record of implementing automation and process improvements

  • Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards

  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills


Preferred Qualifications



  • CPA or equivalent professional certification

  • ERP implementation or system conversion experience

  • Background supporting growth-oriented or multi-entity organizations
