Controller

We’re looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Controller to join a growing food manufacturing organization and play a key role in strengthening accounting, inventory, and manufacturing operations. Core duties and responsibilities include:

• Own manufacturing cost accounting, product costing, and inventory valuation
• Analyze material, labor, overhead, yield, waste, and production variances
• Improve COGS, gross margin, and product profitability reporting
• Lead inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, reserves, and warehouse controls
• Support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
• Develop and document accounting and inventory processes and internal controls
• Partner closely with operations, production, procurement, warehouse, and supply chain
• Lead the warehouse & inventory workstream for an upcoming ERP implementation
• Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to the AP/AR team member

Required skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong hands-on manufacturing cost accounting experience
• Solid GL and month-end close experience
• Strong understanding of inventory, BOMs/formulations, COGS, labor, overhead, and manufacturing variances
• Experience working directly with manufacturing and operational teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills
• Comfortable working in a lean, evolving environment where you’ll be in the details

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is from $120K to $160K, depending on experience.
