Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Controller to manage the daily accounting operations for our client's law firm. This position will be a key member of the firm's leadership team and will be responsible for the daily accounting operations as well as guiding strategic financial decisions. Law Firm experience a plus but not required.

Duties Include:

  • Oversee the accounting responsibilities (AP/AR, billing, general ledger entries, bank reconciliation)
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Prepare financial reports and maintain accounting records
  • Review and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, monitored, and reported in a timely manner
  • Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, ensuring adequate funds are available to meet operating needs and expenditures
  • Provide financial analysis as needed
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Managing a small accounting team
  • Additional accounting duties/special projects, as necessary.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting
  • CPA a plus, but not required
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited direct supervision
  • Ability to receive and communicate instruction effectively through both written and verbal means
