Financial Management & Reporting We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Controller to join our team in St. Louis, MO. In this role, you will oversee all financial operations. Key Job Responsibilities
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow). Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Lead support work for annual financial statement audit and support needs for tax advisors. Maintain accurate inventory valuation. Oversee cycle counts and year-end physical inventory. Monitor financial performance against budget/forecast and provide variance analysis. Manage cash flow forecasting. Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. Monitor credit risk, customer payment performance, and collections strategies. Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. Optimize ERP/system workflows relating to purchasing, inventory, and sales. Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual processes. Lead improvements in reporting, data accuracy, and financial visibility across the organization. Supervise accounting team of 6 (AP, AR, Payroll, Billing and General Accountant). Provide financial insights to executive leadership for strategic decisions.
Requirements Job Requirements:
Expertise in preparing and analyzing financial statements and budgets. Proficiency in cash flow forecasting, accounts receivable, and payable processes. Bachelor's degree in accounting Minimum 3-5 years proven experience in Controller or Senior Management role Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP standards. Expertise in month-end close processes and journal entries. Experience with internal controls and compliance with regulatory standards. Excellent leadership skills to manage and supervise accounting teams effectively. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal oversight. Ability to compile and analyze complex financial data accurately. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in financial software and tools. CPA designation strongly preferred
