The Controller is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing leadership and direction. Direct Management responsibilities include planning, organizing, budgeting, controlling and directing, and cost/benefit analysis. Other responsibilities include general finance function, to include monthly financial reporting and all associated analysis, and to provide any and all needed financial analysis to management team to aid their decision making.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Ensures integrity and accuracy of reported financial information, to include all aspects of monthly financial close for Metropolitan and Northeast Methodist Hospitals, and all associated entities.
2. Prepares specific detail month-end responsibilities, including: Coordination of all month-end activities, Detail analytical review of managed care revenue and contractuals, by payer, Global revenue and expense analysis and Global Balance Sheet account review.
3. Prepares monthly financial reports, specifically: Monthly Executive Summaries and Net Revenue by payer schedules.
4. Prepares annual facility budgets.
5. Conducts routine (monthly) reviews of all balance sheet account reconciliations. 6. Develops and maintains facility specific audit program and financial report distribution packet.
