Controller - Small Company

Small, family-owned company located in West Los Angeles is looking for a Controller. While working closely with the CEO and managing a small team, the Controller will oversee accounting, finance, and business operations. The Controller will ensure efficient accounting policies and procedures and monitor staff production. The Controller will perform strategic analysis, create and analyze the fiscal budget, handle monthly/quarterly/annual closes, manage company operations, review cash flow reporting and cyclical variances, identify market segments for expansion and future investments. The Controller will collaborate with external audit teams and business partners, as well as make periodic trips to visit the operating sites.

• Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• CPA is preferred.
• Experience working a small business setting is required.
• Solid career track and stability are also required.
• Must be hands-on. Must be willing to roll up your sleeves and participate in the work.
• Background of analyzing investment portfolios is ideal.
• Proven leadership ability.
• Background of enhancing accounting policies and procedures.
• Ability to work with various personnel is essential.
• Must have QuickBooks and strong Excel skills.
• Pay, $150 - 175k + bonus.
