Controller
We are seeking a Controller to lead financial reporting, accounting operations, and audit activities. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate financial management, compliance, and strategic support across the organization.
What You'll Do:
Oversee general ledger and financial reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
Lead annual audits, financial statement preparation, and tax reporting (including Form 990)
Manage cash flow, treasury activities, and asset/endowment accounting
Supervise accounting teams across accounts payable, receivable, and student accounts
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts
Ensure compliance with GAAP and implement accounting standard updates
Oversee capital assets, depreciation, and long-term asset planning
Manage banking relationships, transactions, and cash-on-hand analysis
Partner with leadership on financial strategy and operational efficiency
What We're Looking For:
Strong background in accounting and financial reporting (GAAP)
Experience leading audits and financial statement preparation
Proven ability to manage and develop accounting teams
Advanced Excel and accounting systems experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $57.69/hr.
