Take the lead on financial strategy, costing, and growth for a respected Portland-area manufacturer.

SALARY: Starting at $105,000/year ($50.48/hr), depending on experience

LOCATION: PORTLAND METRO AREA, OR

SCHEDULE: Full-Time, Temporary-to-Hire | Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Lead the company’s accounting operations, including monthly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, cash flow, and general ledger accuracy.

• Build and improve costing and pricing models using material, labor, overhead, inventory, and production data.

• Analyze profitability and operational performance to identify margin erosion, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvements.

• Create forecasts, financial models, and scenario plans that support growth, capital investments, and long-term business decisions.

• Improve reporting, processes, and automation across QuickBooks and ERP/MRP systems while developing the accounting function.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.

• Manufacturing accounting experience, including inventory, WIP, job costing, standard costing, or related cost-accounting work.

• Advanced experience with QuickBooks and an ERP or MRP system.

• Experience owning financial reporting, close processes, cash-flow forecasting, and general ledger accounting.

• Prior experience leading or developing a small accounting or finance team.

• CPA, MBA, or experience working with outside CPA firms and auditors is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Office-based position requiring regular computer, financial-system, and reporting work. Must be able to communicate and collaborate with office, operations, and production teams.
