The Hospital Controller oversees all accounting operations of the hospital, including financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, cash management, internal controls, and financial compliance. The Controller ensures financial statements are prepared accurately and timely in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), healthcare regulations, and organizational policies.

Major Responsibilities:

Financial Management

  • Direct all hospital accounting operations.
  • Maintain the general ledger.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements.
  • Ensure timely reporting to executive leadership and the Board.
  • Analyze financial performance and identify trends.
  • Maintain chart of accounts.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare:
    • Balance Sheet
    • Income Statement
    • Statement of Cash Flows
    • Budget-to-Actual reports
    • Departmental financial reports
    • Productivity reports
    • Capital expenditure reports
  • Ensure reporting deadlines are met.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for audits.

General Accounting

Salary Range:  100,000 - 125,000
