The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Walker seeking Controllers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including GL, AR, AP, and cost accounting.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies and procedures.
• Analyze production costs, variances, and inventory valuation to optimize profitability.
• Prepare detailed financial forecasts, budgets, and operational performance reports.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements.
• Partner with operations to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
